WYP PYM | Celia Pym

**WYP PYM test sweater**, **2023** – original WYP sweater with darning tests and patching in various wools and yarns. Made to test out ways in which WYP sweater could be mended, playing to test out weight of yarns, combinations of colours. The sweater is like a drawing pad with stitches drawn onto it.

WYP PYM – Waste Yarn Project x Celia Pym is a collaboration born out of friendship. Siri and Celia studied together and share a love of waste materials, knitwear, play and colour. This project is a work in progress with no clear definition for its future besides a joint commitment to continue to play and experiment with leftover materials. Siri knits and Celia stitches.

In store pop-up event, Merci, Paris, France 2022 – visitors to the pop-up tried on sweaters and we ran 2 workshops where people learnt to darn

WYP. PYM. were invited by their friend Mette Juul a photographer based in Copenhagen to come and stay for a long weekend. Over the course of that visit they photographed the WYP PYM test sweater, samples of the Paper Bag Blanket, scarves and beanies in action. Between breakfast and snacks and lunch and children; between the house and the garden; between football and train sets and toys they had a lot of fun photographing everyone who threw themselves into modelling the knitwear. The background action is half the pleasure of the photographs.The action that might normally be edited out – dressing the models; behind the scenes; before we were dressed is all included. The children were essential part of the day – working with and around them.

WYP PYM scarves and hats available for pre-order 20-27 July 2023. They are made in WYP design by chance way and combined with with hand darned embroidery. Either chose 0, 1, 3 or 5 mended embroideries on your scarf or 0, 1, 2, or 3 on your hat.
